Why did my ex ask about me?

my ex and I ended on a bad note and we haven't spoke in months and she saw one of my friends and asked him where was I? What does that mean? why would she ask that?

Just because 2 people break up doesn't mean that they don't still care about each other. You build a strong relationship with someone when you date, and even if you don't want to date them you can still care about them and wonder how they are. Even be friends.Chances are she was just curious, Maybe she wants to be friends or just misses talking to you.

Your still on her mind sometimes, and when she saw your friend she thought of you and asked. Unless all your friends start telling you she's asking about you, and if you have a girlfriend just don't think about it.

Typically when people date they care for each other and build feelings. Even if you break up, and badly at that, those feelings don't usually disappear completely. There's probably some little part of her that was just curious about your well being and what's going on in your life.
