Is it normal breakups happen when either partner gets unemployed? Either by layoffs or contract ends?

  • Only people that cared about money and not the person would do that. So, yes, it is very common. People just say they love someone and it is empty meaningless words and they don't stick by them when things get tough. Those people suck.

  • If It's a man then F- YES but it takes awhile.

If a man loses his job is becomes financially downgraded then he is, in a sense, losing confidence. A woman will lose respect for him. It really depends on how much she thinks of him but losing a job is a BIG bang.

It's rare that a woman will instantly feel it though. Over time she'll just slowly lose feelings for him if he doesn't bounce back again.

  • I think it's more common when the guy becomes unemployed than it is when the girl becomes unemployed but yeah I think that's pretty common. Less money coming in causes more stress more stress leads to arguing arguing leads to break-ups
