Is it better to isolate or hang out with people after losing a guy?

I feel like not talking to anyone and just focusing on my daughter, school work, exercising, and looking good, just not going out right now. I tend to isolate when I'm feeling bad, and I'm afraid I'll see him around and we have mutual friends and I just don't want to be reminded. What can I do to feel better?

  • If you need time to yourself, then just chill out on your own for a bit. But at the same time, it's probably good not to avoid everyone completely. So hang out with people, but do take some alone time when you need it

  • it's probably better not to isolate. you will only feel more lonely and start thinking about depressing things. find some nice distraction and have fun, but don't drown yourself in that either. balance is the key
