Her parents won't let her date

So, I'm 17 and my Girlfriend is 16 were in the same grade but her parents won't let her date till she's 18. Sad but true. But that's not the worst of it, we have been going out for a year and just last week her dad caught us full on making out. Yea crappy right? Well this is where the crap turns into Sh*t, her dad is the police chief, and I have had a few encounters with him before. He's like 7 foot a million and is the scariest dude I've ever seen. What should I do to overcome this deadly and awkward situation?

-P.S. How fast do I have to run to get away from a police cruiser?

Bad situation. I would say firstly, get your girlfriend to talk to him about how she is not a child anymore and he should loosen up about it. Then you should go talk to her dad. Know exactly what you are going to say. Don't let him intimidate you. Especially tell him how 'You are not just messing about, you really like her' and 'You would never hurt her'. Dads are always protective over their teenage daughters, and some just take it to the complete extreme. like not letting them date until they are 18, and they will loosen up when their daughters begin to date etc.

I agree with Theshyone, you should probably talk to her father. First apologize for stuff.then tell him you understand that as a father he worries about his daughter but let him know that you really care about her and reassure him that you will treat her well. Of course, you have to mean it and be sincere. Tell him it would mean a lot to both you and your girlfriend if he would allow you guys to see each other.

Stay out of his way as much as possible. He sounds like a pretty unreasonable guy if he expects that his daughter won't go out with people till she's 18.

Just because he is a police chief that doesn't give him the right to treat you badly. Neither of you has done anything wrong, all you did was kiss.

Her dad make well appreciate if if you lay off kissing at his home.

Ouch that sucks! Your definitely in his shit list! If you really care about her, man up & talk to her father. Make sure you know what your going to say. That's the most important thing!
