How do I stop calling him back when he hangs up on me?

When my boyfriend and I fight over the phone if he doesn't like what I am saying ( either because he doesn't agree or thinks it's stupid) he hangs up on me. I know I am difficult to deal with ( I can have a short temper) but part of me feels I have to take a stand. I can't let him disrespect me by hanging up on me. The worst is that he not only turns off his cell phone but disconnects his home phone so I have no way of talking to him. I get so frustrated that I just keep calling until he turns his phone on again.

After reading about other people who are in similar situations as I am in it's clear that I shouldn't always call him back. I know I can be annoying sometimes and I'd hang up on me too if I had to deal with me but I can't always be in the wrong. right? He should call me back after all he hung up on me. My problem is that I can't wait for him to call me. Like tonight he hung up on me and I thought ' I will not call him back' only to realize that I have only waited about 5 minutes and end up calling him anyway.

How can I follow through with this resolve to demand respect?

Wow that's exactly what I have been going through.TO A "T". And I am43 and been dating this guy solid about 9months.I am caught up in that same patter you described. over the las 3 days when he pull that same Crap, I don't call. (he is going through a lot of "stuff" not involving me but I am his victom" Last night I said something challenging and didn't agree with him and he left. unplug his house phone and didn't answere his cell. I only tried each once. Screw that. don't fall into a subserviant with no opinion. I have been headed there but not going to do it. I filled my day and night with other stuff and am turning my phone off at bed time. your young, stop the madness now.and You can't demand respect, you earn it. But if your dealing with someone who doesn't respect you or his self romanticly.well no win no win. Pj

i am just like you girl always saying that I'm not going to call him back and end up doing it anyway. What you should do is don't call him back yes its hard because I'm the same way but you have to. Guys usually hang up on you because they are mad but look at this they also like for you to beg and want for you to call back so don't call him back and when he realizes that you not calling him back he's going to wonder what's up why isn't she calling me and calls you right act like you don't care that he hung up on you even though you do but don't let him know that

Your mad to call him back all the time, turn off your phone/s put it in a draw and go to sleep! Don't call him back, I used to do this with my ex, it did me no favours and puts him in total control of you. Do it to him, see how he likes it! Monkey see monkey do, sometimes its the only way to teach them. Would suggest getting Why men love bitches! Not like it sounds but contains 101 ways to keepcontrol and keep cool and keep them interested also.
