Should I wish my ex-bf good luck? Or is that weird?

My ex broke up with me in February & we haven't talked since. We were friends for roughly 2 years before we decided to date. (Not good friends, but friends.) I still love him, because he was my first love. I probably wouldn't date him again if I had the chance. But anyway, he's going to bootcamp in a few months. Would it be weird if I texted him & wished him good luck? What would you think if your ex-gf did this?

but are you bitter about the break up? or not?

If enough time has past and things aren't that awkward then go for it.

If you think he'll appreciate getting a text from you, I would do it.

I probably sounded bitter to him, but I'm not. I explained myself to him & then he kept persisting our relationship didn't feel real. I then said, "Have a nice life, man!" (That's where I sound bitter.) You don't understand how much I regret saying that, but I was in a lot of emotional pain when he decided to dump me for no real reason. I lost that relationship AND friendship. :/

By the way, you might not want to overuse the word "love".
