Ok here's the deal when a girl says that something is wrong maye you did something wrong, I don't know you haven't said why she wants a break so just assume that it's your fault that's how it works with women, so what I would suggest is talk to her and ask her why she wants a break, and tell her to be brutally honest maybe your to clingy, maybe she wants to see if something better will come along, I don't know but if you want to save this relationship ask her why she wants a break. The thing is this if you go on a break that pretty much means you are broken up, and she might say I won't do anything but that's like leaving a kid alone in a candy store unsupervised they will eat the candy, so she might find something better. And if she does don't be surprised if she officially breaks up with you and has a new boyfriend in a few a weeks, but who knows maybe she will realize nope no one else better and come back to you, so find out why she wants a break from you, and work on it from there.

if she wants a break? GIVE IT TO HER. It's an opportunity for you to focus and find out more about yourself. Go out and try to meet some new friends. Don't ever count on someone coming back to you. Move on with your life and try your best to put her in the past. I still think about my ex and it's been almost 2 years.
Get some new hobbies. Focus on your schooling and or career. Join a new club. And again focus on making new friends (guys and girls). Prove to yourself that you can be happy alone.
First of all, don't beat yourself up and stop thinking that you might have not been good enough for her. It sounds like she is after some more experience before she makes a dire commitment. While I can understand a person wanting a break, I don't think that it's right. And it is a very selfish move on her part. Personally, I would dump someone for this. There would be no break, this would end things. But you are not me, and this is your decision, if you love her and you want to try and see this through, then try, however I will warn you that I could see this turning into a very painful situation for you. I'm sorry that you have to go through this, you are in a really tough spot and you have my sympathies.
If this is a first serious relationship for the both of you she may just want to make sure she isn't missing out on anything. The same thing happened with my and my boyfriend and we took a short break for that reason. If in the end being together is what comes out of it then good for you.

We need to take a break equals we need to break up. It's a lame excuse used by both sexes and there is nothing you can do about this but accept it and move on.
You feel bad because you were rejected but it will pass away with time. It will be tough knowing that she's out with other guys and the only way to handle that is to get with other girls. It means she found someone else she wants to date and is wondering if the grass is greener over on his side of the fence. Dump her and don't look back is the shortest advice I can give.
