Why would an cheating ex wish you a happy birthday through an unfriended Facebook?

I had an ex that blamed me for cheating when he was the whole relationship. He has always wished me a happy birthday the first time we broke up in high school. We got back together in college because he wanted a second chance. He deleted my happy birthday babe post on his wall and unfriended me. That was it and I turned off my phone. Its been months since then and I've been happy and dating. He doesn't know that I found out he was cheating with his coworker. So why is he messaging me through the same Facebook that he unfriended me from? I have never responded and never will.

How did you break up? He deleted a message from you and you never talked again?

If he doesn't know that you know about him cheating on you, then maybe he just tried to find out if you're still interested. I think you're doing the right thing by not responding to it. He cheated on you once, he will do it again. He maybe just wants to try to get back in touch to have sex with you.

He cheated on you, so I don't really think there are honest feelings involved.

Be happy and try not to think too much about his intentions.

He would stalk my Facebook page and he got extremely angry over a guy friend asking how I've been on my wall. He copied the conversation (which was public) on his laptop to use like evidence that I was cheating on him. After he kept treating me mean I couldn't take it after I said happy birthday babe on his wall and he deleted and unfriended me.That was it for me. I later found out that he was cheating the whole relationship wiith his coworker. So yeah, I'm happy its over. :)

Typical behavior of someone that is cheating. Disgusting! My Ex came up to me months later, asking me about a male friend and accused me on cheating on him with this guy when we were still together. But the truth was he was the one having so many female 'mates' and meeting up with them and lying about them to me. I don't know if he cheated, but I think he did.

sonds like a lowlife that's unheard of to me but sounds like he wants to push your buttons the best way to stop his enjoyment is not texting anything there's nothing to joke about afterward if he never got that response.
