After repeatedly catching my ex boyfriend attempting to cheat on me, I left him at around 11 months. This guy was crazy about me, according to all of his friends and mine. He used to write me poems, and he spoiled me so much. It was easy to see he was in love with me, and he was very dedicated, and eventually I ended up developing the same feelings. I was his first girlfriend, his first kiss, his first real relationship, the first girl he ever brought home. His family and I got along really well.
At around the 5 month mark, things started to change. We started to grow more comfortable with each other, but with that, he started neglecting me.
Slowly it came to a point where we constantly fought, about ANYTHING. He started ignoring me, I started hating him, and we reached a power struggle. I wanted him to change to fit my life, and he wanted me to be his puppet.
I found out that he had been emotionally cheating on me, telling other girls he loved and missed them, asking them to cuddle with him and making sure they wouldn't tell me...
I let this go many times. Around 4, then after multiple attempts at breaking up, we finally broke up. The first 3 times I tried to do it in person, but he would always convince me to stay. I ended things with him over the phone.
After our breakup, I found out that he went behind my back with a lot of girls, a multiple amount of times. I am completely over him and happy with my life now.
Recently, he has been trying to contact me, but I do not respond. A few weeks ago I thought it would be nice for us to chat, just be civil and have a convo. He said he was lonely and that nobody would hang out with him, so I asked him if he would like to get lunch. He said yes & that he would text me when he wanted me to meet him. The next day I received no text but I wasn't surprised because he stood me up a lot when we dated.
He has now heard that I have been in contact with another ex of mine who he knows I had strong feelings for before him. We have been getting a long really well and we have both matured form previous years.
In reaction, the ex mentioned above that cheated on me, has started posting rude tweets about me saying our whole relationship was a mistake and that I am a hypocrite, and there is nothing special about me. He is telling people that he's having "problems with the ex"
What I don't understand is, what problems? we don't talk to each other, we are not in contact with each other, and except for the one convo we had a few weeks ago, we haven't been in contact for 4 months. Where is all of this negativity coming from? and all of this hate? He calls me a psycho ex, however I have stayed away since the breakup.
Why can't he see me happy? He gets so angry and hates me just because he sees me with someone else, and sees that I am genuinely happy, and he isn't the reason why. And it's because he still has feelings for me, then why doesn't he try and mend things?

So 4 months later, last night him and I hooked up at a party. He texted me and told me he has missed me, and still does miss me. He wants to hang out. What should I do?
