Now that spring is here and summer is just around the corner it is time, yet again, to shed the extra weight we gained over the cold winter.

What is the easiest way to lose weight? Is it one of diets like the South Beach diet, or the Atkins diet, or something else?

Take long walks while listening to audiobooks on an ipod or the like. You'll have the benefit of getting fitter, slimmer, seeing the beautiful countryside (if that's where you walk) AND listen to a good book. Might I suggest the Harry Potter audiobooks to get you started. Relatively cheap and easy to use!

The simple solution is to push yourself away from the table.

For me, I eat things in small portions and often throughout the day. Stay away from the high fat foods.

No more sugar, cut out soda, and cut your sodium intake. Run 4-5 times a week, and drink a lot of water. Also cut out foods that are high in fat, ie: fried chicken.

The easiest way to lose weight is just to eat what you normally do but reduce the portion....You can reduce it by a 1/3 or 1/2, whatever you can deal with and you'll probably be full anyway, most people overeat. Also, make sure to cut down your carbs or dessert portion the most, as these are usually where the most calories are contained. You will lose weight before you know it, it's guaranteed to work!

Weight Watchers worked the best of all the diets cause you can eat whatever want (mostly). It's all about portion control! Eat less of everything! Try to cut carbs a little, cut out soda and drink water, and exercise -- I do aqua aerobics and walk.

The easiest way is to stop eating cooked foods and start eating a raw food diet. This is the healthiest way to eat and you will lose weight along the way.

Not eating, can't gain what you don't eat and with time you won't have to worry about ANYTHING at all, but a healthy way to lose extra poundage wouldn't be the south beach diet or atkins diets due to health risks of each (I had to do a final paper for a nutrition class on the long terms effects of the south beach diet), unless the weight someone has is medically more risky than essentially starving the body of nutrients that it needs for a periodd of time, then it's not worth it, but for minor weight loss nothing beats good old fashion diet and exercise, smaller portions, not eating past a certain time/too close to bed your body can't break down nutrients as well while you rest, so avoid doing it. A little bit of cardio is not only good for loosing weight, but it also improves the functioning of your body, what's 30 minutes a day compared to a life time of health problems associated with poor fitness and the costs of those problems? I've gone from 230 lbs to 160, and became more fit.

I have lost over 40 lbs and I did this with Weight Watchers and regular exercise. I had a few setbacks on the way, but tracking what I was putting into my mouth helped me make good decisions.

Mindful eating and changing some of your eating methods worked for me (345 down to 183). Have breakfast so you aren't starving later and eat at night. Use one hand to eat and drink,it forces you to put down the fork or glass and alternate between liquid and food. The liquid gets down faster and makes you feel full. Try to drink an herbal or decaffeinated tea, plain/with lemon or artificial sweetener 10 min before each meal or while cooking. You are less hungry when the food is finished. Make foods convenient for you so you avoid the temptation of fast foods. Make a large batch of anything, so that you can microwave leftovers. I am having chicken breasts that I baked in the oven 2 nights ago for lunch (last day today). I used brewed string tea and spices to keep it most and cooked it at about 325 so it wouldn't be tough. Drop all drinks with calories unless skim milk or juice diluted with water. Buy the thinnest white bread if you dislike whole grains. Eat fiber! Baked sweets or peanuts.

I became a vegetarian for 3 months and stopped drinking soda. I dropped about 15 pounds. I think I might have treated myself to only one or two burgers at BBQs that summer but that was it.

It's actually a two-week diet (14 days). For breakfast, you eat scrambled eggs and spinach. Spinach can be prepared any way you like, with minimal salt if you use it. For lunch, a large tomato salad. For dinner, a 6-8 oz. chicken breast and salad. A porkchop may substitute once a week if you wish. Drink lots of water or tea, no more than 1-2 small glasses of milk a day. Skim is best. For snacks, a couple of rice cakes, celery sticks with peanut butter (use sparingly), or a salad. Feel free to add celery to any salads you have if you don't like having it without peanut butter. Based on the results I've had with this diet the times I've tried it, you can lose 15-23 pounds in just two weeks. Be sure not to substitute anything but the porkchop, unless you know what you're doing. This is a chemical diet, and these chemicals work together to burn calories and carbs. Make sure to wait 6-8 weeks to try the diet again, or else you'll get sick. Good luck, and be sure to include some exercise!

One of the best ways I've found to lose weight is green tea (pills or the tea itself) and lots and lots of water. Also eat every 2 hours but small meals under 200 calories. Also you need at least 8 hours of sleep. A person needs proper sleep for their metabolism to work. Also cut out mcdonalds, burger king, wendys etc and that alone will make you lose tons of weight. If you drink reg pops try switching to diet. And the most of all easiest way to lose weight. FIBER.. you can get a powdered form that you can add to anything, soups, drinks, yougurt,cereal, sauces etc. It is called Benefiber. Also try not eating 3 hours before you go to sleep. All of this has worked for me. Did all of the above last summer and lost 40 lbs. Best of all its not that expensive.

The first step is to replace unhealthy foods. Pick grilled chicken instead of fried. And lots of fish -especially Salmon- is great for you. Then for snacks instead of those packs of cheez-its or chip bags, try for fruits or vegtables, but try to stay away from dried fruits. Try getting a little bowl and putting in a mixture of nuts, put the rest away, so you don't overeat.
Next try to replace those sugary drinks with water or crystal lights! crystal light is easy to make, not fattening, and they even have a flavor with antioxidants that's delicious!
One word for you. Exercise. Try to get about half an hour every other day! Go swimming, walk the dog, or do some great workout videos from seventeen.com! oh by the way, weight training is a GREAT way to boost that metabolism.
Finally, don't overload, get rest! and be motivated, realistic, confident, consistent.

The easiest way to lose weight is .. CONTROL YOUR MOUTH . I know there's a lot of tempting foods out there; fries, chips, sodas, candies BUT you can stop yourself. The key is to have M O T I V A T I O N . Girls, do you wanna fit into that little sexy bikini and have confidence wherever you go ? Guys, do you wanna walk around in the beach with girls just staring at you ? Well its easy. Cut back on junk food. In reality, you can eat what ever you want! But there's a limit. If you eat too much of it, stop. You can enjoy any food you like, any snack, you just have to eat a small portion of it, once in a while ! Also, working out is a big plus but you have to stay committed to it. 30 mins everyday is fine, at least your getting something out of it: losing calories! You will gradually increase to about an hour or more of exercise and that will be even better! Walking, jogging, dancing,stretching, swimming, even running up & down the stairs is a workout. The best way to lose weight while maintaining your normal lifestyle is to eat smaller portions. If you want to workout that's fine, but remember, working out IS a lifestyle in of itself. If you stop you will gain more weight than you had before.

Everything in moderation. Don't limit yourself to anything, eat what you want but in moderation. Portion control really makes a difference, and is the most satisfying way of losing weight, because you can have your cake and eat it too without feeling bad about it. You eat less calories at the same time as satisfying your cravings. If you add a workout plan to all that, it's even better because you burn more calories than consumed which helps you shed pounds. Working out also raises your serotonin levels, keeps you energized and gets you pumped. I like to eat my pasta, piece of dark chocolate, 4 oz. of lean meat or steak, half of a bagel, etc within 4-5 small meals a day. It boosts your metabolism, you eat what you want whenever, just less calories at a time, and with an exercise plan you're good to go. I've lost over 20 lbs in the past year and feel great! ;]

It's not healthy at all but its easy and it works, I did it last summer due to a breakup. When you wake up eat a decent sized breakfast, make sure it fills you up. Then SLOWLY throughout the day drink liquor instead of eat...just no sweet sugary liquors. Do that for 2-4 weeks you drop weight like crazy.

Running is by far the best way to loose weight and the fastest. The second would be to join a gym and commit to a balanced meal plan. By burning more calories than what you consume, then will you see a noticeable difference in your weight loss.

I do stretches and crunches in the morning. I cut out sodas. I don't eat red meat. I try to not eat a few hours before bed.

Gym, eat good, gym, go out have fun, go clubbing, go on walks, eat smaller portions, and just live your life. don't think that losing weight has to be boring. just do more activities outside or more active activity's that involve alot of moving. :)

Well this works for me. I don't know bout you it is made for people who really don't like veggies.

running , bicycling, standard arm+ leg workouts. stretches, ect. swimming in ocean helps a lot. just exercise often and properly. try to lower your average caloric intake from roughly 3000 a day to bout 1900 to 2300.that is what I found works after four years of the diet/exercise plan in the spring. eat almonds and other metabolism builders. your breakfast should be light but enough to keep you going. muffin+o.j.+yogurt seems to work. lunch is simple as all hell. cooked NON FRIED!!!! chicken, bread less with apple slices and a water or even an occasional soda or so. if your a vegetarian, or not, have a pb& low fat jelly sandwich or other healthy option. dinner can be the same but it is crucial to keep it smaller than lunch and before 7pm. the reason is because your body begins shutting down by then and will turn food to fat. no diet pills. take vitamins that you need.

Eat until you feel fine not until you're full. Have around 3-4 HEALTHY snacks per day (this makes your metabolism stay up) Drink lots of water no soda or juices. Eat lots of veggies and fruits. DO NOT drop junk food. If you drop it will be worst on your body. You can eat anything you want, just it to a moderation. and be active for at least 30 minutes per day.

Eat until you're only 80% full, not 100%, try and get some exercise in, don't eat while you watch tv, and drink LOTS AND LOTS of water - it fills you up before you eat as well as curbs dehydration that can sometimes be confused with hunger.

Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure diet is MAGIC! You cut sugar consumption to around 20 grams per day and keep total carbs under 100. That's it. It's easier than Atkins and South Beach to follow, but just as effective and it's super healthy! Even Dr. Oz promotes it!

If you love sports, join a team or anything active that would keep you motivated like kickboxing. It helps you stay on track with diet and exercise. I personally make goals that would help my performance as an athlete which also helps me with my health and appearance. For instance, one of my goals is to drink about a gallon of water a day (my nutritionist suggested this because of my size and the hrs of exercise I do a day) . This goal helps me feel good during my practice and workouts and also helps me lose the extra fat I have.

Pounds started falling off when I got rid of my biggest stressor. Once I hit a plateau I found trying to lessen my stress (you can use yoga, music, whatever) mixed with eating better (I got rid of soda and deleted one healthy item per day) and a bit of excercise, take the stairs, or park just a bit further away and start your day with 10 minutes of walking/stretching/small weights etc. (switch it up everyday) I was able to continue losing weight, gaining muscle and eventually maintain

Just watch what you eat. Using your running shoes won't hurt; walk sometimes. When watching tv, go crunches. On Demand with Comcast!? Use it! (: But don't break your chain, you'll be sore. LOL.

Losing weight isn't that hard if you follow these simple guidelines! Weight loss is all about a positive attitude and consistency. It's plain and simple: there are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you burn 500 calories a day from your normal calorie maintenance level, you will lose 1 pound a week. To burn 500 calories a day, you can either eat 500 calories less, burn 500 calories more through exercise, or do a combination of both. (Eat 250 calories less and burn 250.) The fat will melt off if you stick with it and keep your goals in mind!

Get the stomach flu. You'll drop 10 pounds in three days like I did and you won't gain it back if you exercise for at least an hour every day outside. Try going on rollerblading trips with a friend all around your city. Exploring is fun.

For me, it was getting on track with eating an exercise. I'm a very unmotivated person, so I just started going on walks with my friend every evening. I also started replacing one meal a day with a salad (usually lunch), and I made sure to include more vegetables in my diet. I cut out fast food, and cut way down on pop. I allow myself 2 cans of pop a day, max, but I try to only drink one. I drink lots of water, and I've found that bottling my water makes it easier for me to drink. I saved empty bottles and filled them with tap water to keep in the fridge. Getting a good nights sleep helps, too!

Actually, the easiest way to lose weight was for me to eat at a precise schedule. It makes it easier for your body to work it off when you always eat at the same time. What also helped was not to eat after 6pm. Plus you sleep better and are more rested and therefore more active. A positive chain reaction so to say. Lost more weight like that than with any diet.

The best diet I ever tried in my life and the one that made me lose the most, is the dukan diet, invented dy Dr pierre dukan. the thing is to eat only meat eggs and everything high in proteins! you will say how am I gonna lose weight if I am eating this ! well the proteins are very hard to digest so your body takes from the reserve of fat to help digesting what you eat !
it's just like if you are working out just by eating ! how great is this !
if you do this I guarantee that you will lose at least 4 kilos in one month ! I already tried it it's working for me !

Erase the false promises of diet pills and quick fix diets from your mind. Weight loss is a lifestyle change. You must make better choices when eating. DON’T skip breakfast – it’s the jumpstart of your metabolism and it keeps you from starving by the time your lunch comes. A fruit smoothie is a delicious, quick, and even portable breakfast choice. Go for baked instead of fried. Get sauce on the side so you’re in control. Add more fruits and veggies. A better choice doesn’t mean giving up what you love; it means moderation.

Exercise! Sorry, folks, but there's no dodging this bullet. Exercising can be fun! Just grab your friends/family and play a game of basketball or tennis. Take a walk with the spouse and talk along the way. Join a gym. Don’t be self-conscious; everybody at a gym is there for the same reason – his or her health. You get out of the house and if you're in an environment where exercise is required - you're more likely to exercise.

My idea always works. I get a cookbook of Chinese food, resolve NEVER to eat out since they always give you too much food...and cook only out of that cookbook for 1 month. The food is good, low fat, and of course no desserts.

In the month you will lose 5=10 pounds this way.
Easier if you have Chinese friends who will have you over..

Doing this lost me about 5 lbs a week. For people life me who hate working out, the best thing to do before EVERYTHING is change your diet! Eat less of everything fatty and more of fruits and vegetables! Its going to be hard, but you have to really push yourself. That's the most important part of the puzzle, being confident of yourself. Over the summer, choose to either rollerblade, bike ride, or run every day for some time. Don't hurt yourself, but do just enough to feel good. In time, the weight will be gone.

Ive lost 30 lbs in the last 4 months... I have tried everything and didn't loose weight. I decided to go ahead and eat the foods I liked. I did stop going to fast food restaurants. I walk three times a week and I do not eat after 7pm. I just lost all this weight so fast... it was easy. My stomach feels like it shrunk I don't eat as much. I get full faster because I only eat until I'm satisfied not full

Well if you have a child then make a plate of food for yourself. and when they come around let them eat theyre full. and after eat what's left and whimper...
or else use mothods like birth control to change your diet.

Cut back on sugars!
Some unsuspecting food items (such as yogurt) can contain almost 30 grams of sugar.. the daily recommended allowance is only 40 grams.
Cut back on sodas and read the labels on your products!
Too much sugar causes belly fat.. and can block your stomach from expelling of the waste.

The best way to lose weight fast, I discovered, is to cook a lot of soy and tofu and add huge amounts of salad to it; at the same time I cut sugar and only eat very few carbs. Works like a charm. And don't forget to hydrate - lots of water.

What I have found works best, is simply called the cave man diet. you only eat natural, if you can pull it off a tree, pluck it from the ground, or shoot it with a gun, you can eat it. it really helps to leave out the extra carbs and chemicals. That combined with a solid work out routine and your set.

The way I lose weight is I eat. I eat whenever the mood strikes me. That way when it comes to big meals I don't eat as much. I don't gorge myself with food but I eat to the point when I know I'm kind of full and walk around more.

I find the easiest way to lose weight is ti eat healthy, don't totally take out junk food, but eat a lot less of it, do 1hour work outs daily, doesn't always have to be the boring stuff like running or weights, but try something new like a work out video on dance, or do a dance class I always fine dance the funnest way to stay slim, also for females there is the video you get get flirty girl fitness my mom bought it, it is the funnest way to ever do a work out, and you really have no clue your working out your having so much fun. when trying to lose weight, to think about losing weight, but more staying healthy, join a sports team, eat right, sun bathe to keep your skin nice. there is never a need to diet, especially if you only have one life to live (which you do) so have fun, get outside, eat right, and you'll be fine :) hope this helped
