Would you date someone with a speech impediment?

Question

Would you date someone with a speech impediment such as stuttering, lisps, etc. Why or why not? Also would it depend on the severity of it? Ty :)

A speech impediment wouldn't have any bearing on whether I was into someone or not. All the normal criteria apply; am I attracted to her, is she a sweet/fun person, do we have any chemistry... etc. If that other stuff is there a speech issue wouldn't have any bearing in the equation.

Heck yes! I get to date someone with a different/endearing way of talking and since people with impediments usually have trouble communicating quickly, i get to spend more quality time with them talking about stuff! I fail to see the downsides here...

Yes, most likely. If it's so bad I can barely understand them I'd probably friend zone him. If I can understand him later on cause I get used to his speech then I'd be fine with it :)

I have a speech impediment and I’ve always been very insecure about it. I talk really fast on dates to avoid them from hearing my speech. Some guys say they don’t mind it but most of them has told me straight up “it’s annoying or it will be if we keep talking.” I almost gotten jaw surgery bc I have an underbite and my dentist thinks it’ll probably fix my speech.

I found this girl on Tik Tok @r__moneyyyyy who has a speech impediment and I’m so surprised how confident she is and owes up to it! She’s Tik Tok famous, as I am too but needless to say, she’s slowly helping me overcome my speech impediment just by watching her videos. Check her out!!(:

I think the more mature people will look past it. It would even be more romantic to some as one of the users kind of mentioned... finding other ways to communicate.
