Is it just me who hates the word crush?

And would rather just say... yeah I like her

  • Well for me, I can have multiple crushes, but only one person that I truly truly like. So I don't mind using crush as a word.

  • Me too. It makes me feel like an 8 year old girl with a diary.
I prefer to say I fancy them. Crush just sounds so immature. Makes me cringe.

  • " feeling like a kid again, I think I have a crush" so childish for me! I totally agree with you!

What Guys Said 2

  • No, crush is different. Crush is more, you have fancied her from afar and barely know her or are in the process of getting to know her. Liking her means you have been on some dates or have become friends so you also know what she's like on the inside to SOME degree and at that point, it's "like" in my opinion.

  • People don't like the words infatuated or obsessed. They have a negative connotation. They convince themselves that it's just a harmless crush... nothing more. :D
