A gentleman is always appreciated! :) There aren't many guys out there who treat girls how they should be treated & it always makes us feel special that you're making an effort :) On the other hand, too much of a gentleman can be frustrating if she has to initiate the first move, lol. I once dated a guy that was too polite to initiate the first kiss even though we both knew how we really felt about each other. It was a long wait and I'm really shy too so it took forever to happen, lol :) I think it's important to be a gentleman but only if you can be playful and mischievous sometimes too, lol :) Being too polite can sometimes put a lot of pressure on the girl because she thinks she has to behave a certain way in order for you to like her :) Hope my answer helped

Well, there's polite... and passive/submissive. So, I have no problem with a guy who treats me the way I feel I deserve to be treated; however, I wouldn't want a push over. I know that I have a strong personality, so although I would like my future significant other to be strong in character and personality, I wouldn't want him to be a total ass-wipe to me, in proving to be a stable man.
What Girls Said
My current boyfriend is an absolute gentleman, even to strangers. It always amazes me, and I feel more attracted to him. But when we are alone I would rather him just take me and I want to feel used; but he is too much of a nice guy.. "can i grab your butt?" he asked me once.
sigh..
so a certain amt of politeness is good.
i need a freak in the sheets.I met a guy like this and it kind of scared me at first. I didn't really know what to do but no it's definitely not a turn off :)
It isn't "politeness" that's a turn off... it's being a complete pushover who won't even voice an opinion to anyone in fear of offending them.
yes id rather he open the door than close the door on my head a few times...
a turn off? man... polite guys are too damn rare these days
My hero! If I meet one. I'd marry him in a heart beat!
Its a sexy quality but a middle ground is best. Polite sometimes means push over.
I like polite gentlemen, so no, it wouldn't be a turn off.
Absolutely not! But I would really be annoyed if he didn't stand up for himself when needed.
Nope. When my man shows his manners, it absolutely melts me.
