Let me rephrase this: A girl who makes her self unavailable or seem unavailable usually gets the most attention from _players_. Chasing is fun for those guys who enjoy the chase. ( and who have a higher likelihood of continuing to chase other girls even after they've caught the first one. Not all guys who enjoy chasing are like this, but...)
The reverse also applies, don't you think? Girls who like to be chased attract guys who like to chase. Guys who enjoy chasing attract girls who like to be chased. When either one is caught/catches one, the dynamics change and then the members of the couple have to make the decision if it was the chase that they liked, or the person.
Guys who like the chase will continue to chase. Girls who like to be chased will continue to stay just out of reach. Eventually both sides realize they're creating drama for themselves, and grow up.
The people who don't like the chase bow out, find ways to connect with each other anyway, and leave the drama to the relationships the chasers make with each other.
Well most of the hot girls are taken and unavailable so obviously that's who they'll chase. In my case if a girl isn't interested I just give up
I see this all the time. Usually because that girl is the hottest and has her choice of guys. She is usually unavailable because she doesn't have to hurry up and choose just one, she has options.
Also I don't care how many thumbs down I get, men are naturally and biologically hunters. Guys like the chase. Not you playing games, but they like a girl more they have to work for than a girl that throws herself out there like "okay I'm here for you! Lets go out" or even worse does the chasing. If he thinks you are worth it he will put in effort to pursue you. There is an initial thrill because usually a girl that is easy to get either has something wrong with her and that's why she is so quick to jump into things or is just easy period.
This is so so true. I wish it wasn't, but it is. The more someone has to work for something, the more it's valued. This is true for anything in life. If you are too available (and I've been guilty of this) then you don't give things a chance to simmer. He doesn't swoon and dream about you. He doesn't wonder why that guy and not him. All these things build emotions to a fever pitch.

I don't think that's true. It may get him to think about you more but your just playin game. Girls do this to me and it annoys the sh*t out of me! its good to make him miss you gives you more value, but for christ sakes don't keep doing it you have to stop after a certain time or els he will move on. This girls is doind that to me right now the only thing is I really truley truley like this girls ALOT. But the problem is that while she is playing hard to get I am also hitting on other girls. I wouldn't be doing that if she corrosponded more often and didn't act so busy.
The more magical a girl is, the less she needs me. I'm smart enough not to chase phantoms but if I were a little more foolhardy I might. So in short, yes, unavailable girls are more likely to be chased, but not because they are unavailable. It's because they are filled with faerie dust and sugarcane sparkles.
