How to ask a girl out on lunch break?

There is a girl I don't talk to but we have the same friends. Should I just ask for her number or try to be fiends first? I don't want to enter the friend zone tbh.

Just start talking to her and have her get comfortable with you then tell her that she looks gorgeous and ask her what her name is then proceed the conversation with what she does then when your break is all over whip out your phone and say "you have a # or will your boyfriend get angry" its a win win well at least for me 1. you get her number or 2. you don't have to waste your time with her since she has a boyfriend
