How come when a guy that's 50 dates a 20 year old its not?

This is a good question. First of all, I wouldn't do it. I don't think it would be worth it.

People probably will have a problem with this because at 16, you are a lot more mature than someone who is 13. There is a lot of development that happens between the ages of 13 and 16. Even if this girl seems mature, at 13, she still has a lot of emotional/mental development to do. One of the biggest problems is that you are probably going to expect a sexual relationship and a 13 year old is not ready for that because, like I said, she is going through a stage of development. Girls who become sexually active at such a young age often go on to have problems later in life.

Even if you guys don't have sex, it is probably not a good idea for such a young girl to get in a serious dating situation. Most people I know would think that she should either be casually dating (no sex) with different guys or being friends with different guys, not just one guy. Girls who are so young need to learn about men and it isn't good for them to have just one man in their life, influencing them.

It is mature and considerate of you to ask for advice about this. Of course, you should use you own judgement here. If you feel like this girl is mature and you feel like you can hold off on sex for a while, then maybe try dating her. There are people who started dating young and had great experiences that didn't damage them! Patrick Swayze, who just died, met his wife when she was very young and they apparently had a great relationship. But be very, very careful. Young girls often feel that they are ready for things when they are not. She might be physically grown up and ready for an adult relationship, but mentally, I doubt it. Good luck.

Personally I don't think it's a good idea, those three years do make a huge difference. She may seem mature but she will still have a whole lot of growing up and maturing to do.

You've also got to think about things like friends and social groups. Are you going to want to forsake your friends in order to hang out with a bunch of 13 year old girls who may not be as mature.

Are you willing to deal and cope with what other people may think about the relationship and how they may judge it?

Also there is the whole legal age of sex. As far as I am aware it would be considered illegal if you guys were to partake in anything sexual as she is still under the age of 15. If her parents were to find out they may not look upon it kindly and you could get into trouble.

do not even try to justify dating a damn 13 year old. do you not have much luck with girls your own age? straight up a a guy your age dating a 13 year old sends the message "hey I'm a loser and can't get girls my own age." 13 year old girls are easily impressed. to her you are that cool older guy that's interested in her. its a downgrade for you. the fact that you're even asking this question proves that on some level you know this isn't right.

a 20 year old is a legal adult and a grown woman. a 13 year old is most likely still in middle school. I bet she watches the wizards of waverly place lol. a 13 year old and a 20 year old is not even comparable. try again

leave children alone. you guys are on different levels, let her have her childhood.

I mean a 25 year old dating a 22 year old is not weird but 16 dating a 13 year old will is suspect. And the man that is 50 dating a woman which is twenty while it is not the norm is still acceptable because they are both adults. Not to kids going though puberty

To be honest I just wouldn't.

Also, I think a 50 year old dating a 20 year old would be pretty creepy. Its not so much about the year difference. There is a HUGE difference between 16 and 13 year olds. Also, you are going to want to do stuff that would be completely inappropriate for her.

I'm not trying to be discouraging, but I'm just not sure if 13 year olds SHOULD be mature enough to that 16 year olds. I know I was completely different when I was 13 and when I was 16 and the stuff I was getting into at 16 would have really messed me up at 13.

Just be careful.

Think of the maturity, (Let alone the law!) differences between a 13 year old and a 20 year old. In the state I live in. If you're caught even just have a relationship with a 13 year old. (Even if there is no sexual acts) that's TWENTY FIVE YEARS on the SEX OFFENDERS REGISTRY!

Think about that before you think about dating her.

There's nothing wrong with being friends then dating when she's 17. (17/18 is the legal age where I live.)
