Why do people think it's okay to tell others to smile or not to be cold?

  • It is because people naturally don't like and keep their distance from people that are scowling, frowning and act cold and unfriendly. It is a basic human reaction to stay away from people like that. The people that say something don't want the person that is scowling or cold to end up in a situation where no one will talk to them. When people behave in this cold and unfriendly nature it is natural for others to think "What's his/her problem I will stay well away" and the people that say something don't want that to happen to the person. They say it because they care.

    • In general people need to be more happy natured and less cold and unfriendly. No one wants to be around a negative person and negative people end up with no friends.

    • Very true, people that say that know people will be thinking "What's his/her problem" and they don't want the person that is scowling or whatever to end up in a situation where they don't fit in with anyone.
