I live in a country where tipping is not a common thing to do. But I date foreigners that come from countries where tipping is very common. When I go out with them and they're the one paying, should I be the one who tip the workers? Am I expected to do that? Would I be rude if I don't?

You don't tip because of what country you're from,
If you're server gives you excellent service than that should be the reason to tip not blaming it on your country0

No. Why would you tip because someone else's country does it? Doesn't make any sense0
