Well as a fitness guy I eat a shitload of meat haha so it can kinda cause problems, when I lived by San Francisco many girls were vegetarian! haha hipsters! So dating did get interesting a couple times. It's like ok lets find some hipster restaurant and order spaghetti squah. haha WTF is spaghetti squash?
Not an issue as long as he doesn't make a big deal about it. I'm not going to change my eating habits and if he starts preaching to me, I'll just get pissed off. I know it's a pretty big deal to a lot of vegetarians and vegans, and it would be best if those people also date other vegetarians/vegans. I'd be up for eating lots of vegan and vegetarian food as long as it's not forced on me, and as long as I don't feel like he's being judgmental.
I'm fine with it eventhough and I applaud someone for having their sense of values. Offer it but don't force it on me. It may be tough cooking at home especially if one is vegan and doesn't want the aromas and cross contamination. Could be a strain going out to eat if strict... It limits choices.
I was a vege/vegan and gave it up for health reasons.
I dated a vegetarian once, I didn't see any problems with it. She doesn't want to eat meat? Sure, no problem. Veganism is a bit more extreme, but I don't think I would mind. However I think the actual decision would depend on the fact whether this girl would try to convince me to do the same or is one of those people who will give speeches anytime anyone talks about meat, I'd really get annoyed by that.
I like fruits and vegetables too, but there's a high chance she's going to go all political activist on me for eating animals and try to convert me to her lifestyle at some point. Some of the biggest reasons why people become vegetarian are ethical reasons pertaining to animal rights, religious reasons, environmental action issues, or cooky raw diet pseudo science. While I love animals, and do work in other ways to improve the environment I don't want to listen to the extremist views of most vegetarians. I'm keenly aware of biochemistry when it comes to human nutrition, I love animals, I work to improve parts of the environment and have even taught the subject before so when I hear the rants that a lot of vegetarians spew out of their ass I can't respect them.
I grew up with a vegetarian mother. She was absolutely disgusted by meat. In fact, sometimes she had to leave the room while my dad, my brothers, and i ate meat.
When i was a kid, i was so accustomed to it that i thought it was normal for boys to eat meat, and girls not to. So when i went to school and saw a girl my age eat meat for the first time, i was absolutely flabbergasted. 😂😂😂
