I've got a lot of big tattoos but I choose to show them off or cover them up whenever I feel like or whenever its appropriate. I've never had any negative comments about my leg sleeve or my back piece. I've got my stomach tattooed and my wrists as well. Men seem to slightly intrigued by girls who have big tattoos and my back piece has always been a bit of a talking point. Think its because I go for slightly unusual designs, don't have black outlines on several of my tattoos (which leads people to believe they are body paint, which they deffo aren't! You try 12 hours in the chair and then say they're false!). I'm also planning to get some more once I've finished my Naval training and earnt some more nautical tattoos.
However I can see why a lot of people don't like them, there are several people wandering round with generic designs such as stars, those horrible lillies girls seem to love getting, script and kanji, tribal etc etc and there's no differenation between any of these designs worldwide.
Oh and BTW I have a degree in Environment Science and a HND in Countryside Management.
It really shouldn't matter what any objective person has to say about an individual's tattoo(s). Because a tattoo should be for one person only and that's the person who got it. Tattoos are intended for others to see most of the time, but 100% of the time the person who decided to get the tattoo got it for his or her self, regardless of what others think.
Anyway, I have wake your dreams below my neck between my shoulderblades and a starry design above my right hip, so they're easily concealable. I plan on going to school and pursuing a career in the medical field in the fall.
well, I went to college for mass communications and I am now a financial aid advisor and a wedding planner..i have 6 small subtle tattoos. I get so many compliments on them and I LOVE them all
I find if the tattoo fits the type of girl you are, it can be quite attractive. But you can usually tell those types of tattoos from the go with the flow type you see on a plethora of women. It only becomes an issue for me when you see more ink than skin. That is usually a turn off for me. Not sure why it matters but I have some college education in the area of computer networking, passed my CNA test in the field. I've considered getting a tattoo to cover up scarring on my back from surgery when I was younger and more insecure, but now that I know scar tissue cannot be inked, and I'm more set with who I am, I doubt I'll ever get one, as that was the only reason for me to even consider it.
Some girls look alright with them , most of the time though I don't care for them, they just distract the eye. I have a BS in engineering, I've thought of getting one, but have been reluctant to as I don't want to get something semi permanent then end up not liking it in a few years.

BFA Audio Production, Heavily Tattooed.
I am not attracted to little silly tattoos, but big custom work is almost essential for me. Sleeves, chest, throat, stomach. I Don't like tattoos on girls backs or legs though. Everywhere else, as much as possible please.
I have no problem with back pieces. They are not a turn off for me, but I have a thing for backs. It is the closest thing to a fetish I have. I feel tattoos obfuscate their curves. I won't complain if there is one there, but I would prefer there not to be. I have been with girls who's backs have far more work than yours. It doesn't mater. But if I had a choice, I would choose a girl to not have them on her back.
The short answer is it depends on what and where the tattoo is. If it's something cute and subtle then it can be sexy. If it's a full sleeve or a tramp stamp then it's disgusting.
Bachelor of Science, no tattoos.
What would you consider cute and subtle? And where?
Give me some examples and I'll tell you what I think.
