Would it make you feel better if you knew the person you couldn't have was gay?

If you were straight and in love with someone who didn't want you back, would it make you feel any better if you knew that the person was gay?

  • That's a good question. As a straight man, the idea of another man courting the woman I care about would be infuriating. If it was another woman? I'd probably be jealous instead (and a little emasculated).

So if we were all cavemen living in caves... I'd probably whack the guy in the head with a club. If it was a female, I'd feel less of a man.

Why would you feel less of a man for loving a woman?

I'd feel less of a man if I loved somebody who I could not be with.

      That's understandable.

  • It would still hurt like a bitch, but at least it would be due to his orientation.

Because no matter what I could do, I would never be able to be with them.

  • Not if I loved her
