When I was on Tinder, if a girl wouldn't send pictures that she had JUST taken, I automatically assumed she either had old ass pics up and lied about her age, or needed time to take 500 to pick whichever one was at juuust the perfect angle to hide the fact that she weighs just as much as me and make her look like she weighs what a woman ought to weigh.

Varies from wanting beat off material, down to genuine interest. There's asking for pics and there's asking to see. Like I'll have a text convo where a girl is describing something, then will end up sending a pic. Few times I've asked and each time I wanted to have a valid reason for asking.

First of all, ignore those who request multiple pics... thats disgusting, second who the f**k cares if he will not respond back later? That means he is not interested in you anymore (maybe he was bored at the time). I personally only will request 2 kind of pic if I don't see any of her. First is a full body pic, second is a head to shoulder pic (never boob pic). The reason is behind the full pic is because to see if she has any body disorder I can prepare myself on a meetup without any surprise. And on the face pic I check if she is actually a guy or a girl (unfortunately there are girly guys whose have girlish "features"), and of course its nothing more beautiful than a girls face pic. =)

They like to get a good idea of what you look like. I sometimes like to see what they look like today just to get an idea for the day you know? It's like I'm not THERE, but seems a little closer. Same reason why I'm fine sending regular pics if someone asked that I'm texting.
Personally I like pics of girls wearing different outfits. They don't have to be sex costumes, (although that is fun) just nice clothes. (I know I know, let the gay jokes commence) I also like seeing girls posing sensually or even just smiling at me :)
Usually we ask for a pictures when we miss that person, we want to bind all the chats going on with the actual image of the person we are talking to, to visualize their reactions to the talk. If he asked you about you pictures then they are still attached to you. If you are not into the guy ask your picture, simply don't send it

In my own experience, as I know a majority of men know, we're very visual when it comes to most things. My father and are very much the same in this department. If I don't know where or what place her talking about, he'll draw a map or give me street named and I can visualize it in my head which place he's referring to. As for pics of girls... I am a visual learner and seeker. Probably why a lot of men watch porn or look at other women who they find attractive in public or wherever. We enjoy seeing things visually. Well first of all, asking a girl for pics is an attempt to flirt, and to smooth the conversation, to let the girls know we're interested, it's also a hint to knowing if a girl would flirt back, in general if she's not intrested she wouldn't send pics, or she would make it hard, but if she sends it's a good signe, that's why we ask for pics even if we saw you a million times or if your instagram account had 1000 pic. Personnaly i like all kinds of pics, especially nudes, cause let's face it, we love nudes cause we're men. I wouldn't do anything with the pics afterwards, maybe review them sometimes but that's all
Honestly I think some guys see it as sort of a trophy or mark of achievement, I know guys who have archives (some of which are huge) of pictures sent to them by women they either dated, or met (IRL or online and managed to convince, coax, or seduce them it to send pictures.) I've never really seen the point though.
probably just to be sure it's you who they are talking to, and not some 'catfish'. You're attractive, so most guys are probably going to assume that you're really a guy who just googled "hot girl" and used the first image they found to lure men into letting him blow them.
Or, your pictures are low quality/don't reveal anything they want to see. Hard to say without seeing them..

I don't necessarily ask for one to be sent to my phone/email...just a link to a page (to a site such as tinypic) is all I ask for so I can see it (not necessarily "keep" it).
I have never once asked for a pic. received many but never once asked. just not me to ask for that. but some of the pics...yikes. good thing I am a decent guy. go no further.

I think it is sucky... bad manners. I absolutely hate it. I don't know why, but it makes me feel kinda disrespected...'thinged' like all I am is a piece of meat. What do you plan to do with the pic, for one thing. by the way I am told I'm hot... that's probably why I hate it.
