When should you give up on a girl on Tinder?

If they aren't interested, or if you had a first date which didn't go well, why won't they unmatch? How many messages should you send without reply before giving up? What could an 'ultimatum' question be for example?

Don't want to seem desperate but know in reality people are busy. Wouldn't mind if someone did unmatch just don't like being stuck in limboland xd

Anyone care to shed any light on this? Cheers!

Should point out by 'ultimatum' I don't mean 'threaten' xd just something 'if you're not interested no worries just unmatch' for example. In any event consensus seems to be that its a lousy idea XD

When she doesn't respond to the first message. But see, if you're emotionally attached to a point where you consider it "giving up on" her, then you're too attached. Tinder is just a casual hook-up app for most people.

When your main source of contact is no longer Tinder, then you can start worrying about this stuff.

And drop that silly nonsense with "ultimatum". The only thing you can use is withdrawing yourself. Threatening that when she isn't even displaying interest will just serve to make a mockery out of yourself.

just cus someone is not intrested doesn't mean he/she will unmatch you no body got time for that they'll just ignore you. you send 1 message and that's it don't hold your breath on it they can take any where from a couple minutes to a couple weeks. Even if she responds keep messaging other girls you don't want to get hung up on someone you don't know. trust me double messaging never works it just makes you look bad if she didn't respond to the first one she won't to the second 1

also you don't give some an ultimatum that you have no type of relationship with its useless you have no leverage to even bring up an ultimatum

I don't use tinder.. I read nothing but bad experiences on here lol
