did he read the DM? if so and no response, he changed his mind about talking bc he wasn't as interested as he thought. a lot of people do that and are semi interested for whatever the reason is and they can say all these things to make you think its on but then they realize that are not as into as they thought and do things like he did. but yeah he unfollow most likely bc maybe he doesn't want to talk no more, met someone, hiding something on his page, etc reasons. But yeah not cool at all
Might be taken and trying to cheat and didn't want to get caught? I've never cheated but I'd do that if I were to cheat.
