Were these really dates or friendly outings?

I've had dinner with this guy at least once every 2 weeks over the span of a year and a half (planned through Facebook messages or texting). Thing is, this is college and the normal rules need not apply. Additionally, we would be eating in the dining halls, although we always ate alone (i.e. w/o mutual friends). We even had dinner together on valentines day.

So my question is: What constitutes a date? Does eating in a college dining hall mean that its really a friendly outing more than a date?

Help!

Thanks

  • i don't think they are dates unless you guys plan ahead and go out some where together. not in a dining hall. its an outing. now he may like you and have more than friendly feelings for you, but it isn't a date
