Is going to a baseball game a good first date?

He is really into it and I've never been to one. He doesn't really have a sense of humor but is a cutie... but is a baseball game a good first date? Its not definite, he said he likes a girl whose confident but I don't know if I want to reject the baseball game right off the bat..

You don't really need to be confident to go to a baseball game? Just be honest that you've never been and know little about the sport. There is plenty of time to make conversation and its a fun atmosphere. I'd prefer something with a little more conversation for a first date, but its not a bad place. Don't try to fake it, it will backfire. It's America's Pastime ... maybe you will become a fan! If not, well, guys butts look cute in baseball pants ;)

No, it's not. Not for a first date anyway.. I am not going to sit there and watch someone bat and run on a diamond field for hours on end. That is boring. Plus, when they hit the ball.. I never see it.

Just tell him you're not interested and suggest something else. And if things go well with you two, then perhaps go on a baseball date next time.

Personally...when I go to a baseball game with friends I talk more with them than pay attention to the game. I know some guys who are super into and they don't talk and they are quite focused on the game. But it might be fun if he knows a lot about it and he could maybe teach you about the sport?

Yes! I'm a huge baseball fan so I'm probably biased, but I find them to be the best sporting event for dates because you don't have to pay attention to the game all the time, which allows you to talk and get to know each other.

idk. maybe. But I think the place where 2 of you can be alone is a better place. My friend did go for a boatride for their first date this week

It's one of my favorite things to do. It's fun, you can watch the game, talk, laugh, eat, drink. There's singing (7th inning). He'll explain the game if you don't know it. It's casual. Go for it.

Its a good first date because it might not be the most romantic but its fun and it will give you a chance to get to know him more and he'll see that your fun to be with.
