If you delete all texts...?

If I were to delete all my texts between me & someone I've conversed with, will it delete on their phone too?

Updates:

  • No, it has no bearing on his phone.

  • Yes. And if you photoshop someone out of a picture, they will disappear into thin air as well.

But not only. If you remove a bookmark from your favorite sites' list, the website is destroyed.

Electronics are very powerful. Handle with care.

  • No, go ahead and delete those texts on YOUR phone without fear.

  • No, just on yours. You don't have the "power" to delete stuff from other people's phone just by deleting it from yours. It doesn't automatically erase on other phones.

  • Unfortunately no, lol.

  • Oh I wish! That would certainly come in handy for a lot of situations. Sadly no, once you send a text-much like once you send and email or Facebook message that's it, it's sent. You can't take anything off someone else's phone from your phone.

  • No. The other person would have to delete the text from their phone themselves.

There's not technical telepathy between two phones.

Hence, erasing texts from you phone won't erase them from the other person's phone.

I'd be too easy to hide anything otherwise.
