Just like girls, guys like some attention. He may be thinking that if you're not texting him is because you're not interested. I had played this ego game waiting for her to text me, and so did she, and destroyed my relationship. If you like him and think you have a chance with this person just send him a quick "hi, how are you?" And see where it goes. If he doesn't answer, you still have not lost anything.

Totally, especially since you are so confident that he will reply. I mean, what is there to lose? Even if he wasn't interested anymore, which, I assume he still is, what's the harm in having a conversation.
