If you find yourself along with someone, do you tell them you don't consider it a date?

Assuming this happens spontaneously, without anyone 'asking' for the other person's company beforehand.

Do you deliberately leave ambiguity in the air, or do you try to make things 'perfectly clear?'

Sorry, should read 'If you find yourself ALONE with someone..."

  • I just play along. I've been alone with guys many times and they've taken me out or made dinner... Or just hung out. But since no one officially said it was a date then I don't consider them dates

  • I'll say it because guys will ask me out in beat around the bust ways like studying for physics then accuse me of leading them on after awhile.

I now say it bluntly to avoid that situation.

    • Right, that DOES happen...people don't watn to 'ask you out' but then will act as if they had done that..

  • I would just leave it and see where things go

What Guys Said 1

  • Clarity is overrated. I prefer to let people think what they want to think.
