What does it mean if a phone constantly goes to voicemail, and is lycamobile service down?

Tried calling a friend. Goes to voicemail for last few days. Doesn't even ring or anything :/ is lycamobile a good network. Or could it be signal. We didn't fall out or anything either. :)

It could be a lot of reasons. Some reasons why it would go straight to voicemail could mean that their phone could be turned off.Maybe the bill wans't paid.Another possibility could be maybe they have a bad connection and no bars which would make it automatically go to voicemail.Some areas have dead spots in them which make talking on the phone tough.Maybe their service provider is crappy to which wouldn't help.Maybe they have to clear out their voicemail.
