  • If you're texting while talking to someone you can't possibly be giving them your full attention. It's really just disrespectful to the person whether they're your BF or not. It shows that you really don't care all that much about what they're saying, so you're going to just multi-task while they're talking.

    • Whether you're looking at them or not isn't really the point, it's that part of your brain isn't even listening to them. If you thought they had something important to say you'd give them your full attention, so by not giving them your full attention you're implicitly saying that what they're saying isn't that important to you.

  • They care because it is rude to text someone else while they are talking to you. You may be listening, but you aren't giving them the attention or respect that you should be.
