You love murder-mysteries? You think identifying clues and solving a murder is thrilling? You believe you could do a better job at this than some TV Series characters who seem to take way too long to find the culprit?

Then these shows are definitely for you!

As a whodunnit TV Series junkie myself, if I could recommend only 8 shows that revolve around that genre, these are certainly the best ones to dedicate your time to.

Enjoy:

  • If Sherlock doesn't come back, I'm gonna have a breakdown. Sadly, though, I heard it was done. :(

Poirot was always excellent and Veronica Mars was just plain fun. Should have a spot on here for the Midsommer Murder Mysteries, though.

  • I also think that the Sherlock Holmes series (1984-1994) starring Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes should have a place on your list :)

  • HELLLOOOO Columbo? Lol One of the best & you chose likes of Psych over Columbo. Not saying Psych wasn't fun but how can anyone miss one of the best detectives. Loved Poirot as well few I've seen.

  • Great Take, and excellent detectives, but you forgot about Cadfael (1994-96).

  • Just a couple of related mentions I like the modern US twist of Sherlock Holmes (Elementary) and speaking of Endeavour I am currently reading the original novel series of Inspector Morse (thanks to my Amazon gift cards), I plan to watch the TV adaptation online afterwards also the spin of "Lewis" deserves a mention/
I am really getting into Scandinavian Detective shows Bron (also US version the Bridge and UK/French The tunnel), The Killing, Beck, Arne Dahl (Thank you BBC 4 and Walter Presents on More 4/All 4)
