  • There are no specific books genderwise i believe, anyone can read whatever he/she wants.. What I would suggest as per your age is..
Jonathan livingston seagull - Richard Bach
The day of the jackal - Frederick Forsyth
And some dan brown if you like suspense thrillers with an out-of-the-world plot.

  • The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer - I absolutely love this series. It's basically like a futuristic, dystopian take on classic fairy tale characters and rolling them into one journey.
It has romance, suspense (sorta), action, and the heroines aren't stupid people who rely on their "prince charmings" but still care about them so they aren't heartless she devils.

  • All Sarah Dessen books except the moon and back that one sucked for me. Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. Eternal Ones by Kristen Miller. Ten things we (and probably shouldn't had). Those are just some you probably won't like them or you love them.
