When electronic music started in your opinion?

I believe somewhere in 60s personally. Don’t recall any musicians before 60s makin use of synthesizers.

  • Electronic music dates from the end of the 19th and beginning of 20th century, but most of the modern electronic music genres have been developed between 70's, 80's and 90's.

  • I don't know electronic music's birth date but I can say that it took its throne in early 2000's and replaced metal & rock's place which is pretty much dead already.

    • r u sure? actually now things r less synthesized compared wid 80s.
during 80s even 60s-70s rock bands used synths and electronic drums for their 80s albums

    • "I don't know electronic music's birth date but I can say that it took its throne in early 2000's"

Using synth and electronic drums does not affect that style. Electronic music is Skrillex, DJs etc. basically.

    • again in 80s we had italo-disco and synth-pop, and in 90s we had euro-dance and trance mostly. thought 00s-10s r more R'n'B-ish

  • It has been always there... The thing is... It's actually improving...

    • r u sure? technologically-wise sure... but nothing beats those analogue synths sound-wise ;)

    • But I guess it is somewhere between 1965 or 1970s
