Do you think the word "love" is used too much in music today?

I mean, really- this doesn't need explaining. You turn on the radio in the car on any day of the week and hear a whole bunch of people singing about love. I personally think it's overused and changing some people's definition of the word love. When you say that you love that person, do you really mean it? Does it come that easily? Or are you just saying it as it goes with the rest of the words?

I don't know, maybe I'm overthinking this. Someone tell me to do some work or something.

  • The four basic things are art and music are based on are:
    -Sex
    -Love
    -God
    -Death

So, expect a lot of love, a lot of sex, a lot of religion, and a lot of death in music.

  • I think the whole "fucking bitches and getting high" or "side how's" is highly overused. I rarely hear any songs about love anymore.

What Guys Said 5

  • I don't think that the word is overused
but the 'love theme' is overused, it's usually about love, party and sex

I rarely hear songs about something different

  • Love is too general to be called "Overused". You can love things in a different way, for example I can say "I love McDonald's" and "I love my mother". I obviously do not love McDonald's the same way I love my mother.
