What bands should I try?

I want more bands along the lines of what I already listen to, but if you think I'd like one from another genre based off of this list, I'll try it out.
-Avenged Sevenfold
-Disturbed
-Five Finger Death Punch
-Slipknot
-Skillet
-Three Days Grace
-Marilyn Manson
-Nickleback
-Metallica
-Evanescence
-Bon Jovi
-Guns n' Roses
-Ghost Town
-Korn
Any suggestions?

    • I've actually heard of a lot of those, but Maiden is the only one I've actually looked up. Thanks for all the suggestions (and the commentary on each one xD)

    • Thanks! ^-^

    • No problem, I appreciate the way you gave your opinion on each of the bands when you sent them instead of just "Listen to this stuff"

  • OLD SCHOOL Metalica. Anything made after "the black album" is worthless and "the black album" itself is only good for Enter Sandman which was a leftover from "... And Justice For All". Really, you need the Metallica when bassist Cliff Burton was still alive - in particular, "Ride The Lightning" and "Master of Puppets". Also, Megadeth is good. Anthrax... Testament... Pantera... Queensryche (yeah, Queensryche!!) Basically, 1) if it's metal and 2) it's made after 1991, then it's suspect and usually of lesser quality.
You also should listen to Motley Crue, Ratt, Cinderella. Bon Jovi is overrated. Especially so is Guns and Roses. I've discovered Ghost and they seem decent. Also, look into Alice in Chains.

    • Evanescence was pretty huge when I was in high school and they have kind of ceased to exist now… which is kind of funny if you look up what their band name means. Also I am kind of embarrassed for not mentioning “Black Sabbath” sooner. They started metal.

If you want something a little more rock I will always maintain that “Queen” is one of the greatest bands to ever exist. You will probably really like Nirvana too.

    • Nirvana is one I've listened to, I just forgot to add it to the list xD Evanescence is such a pretty word, I looked up the meaning awhile ago and thought it was really cool. Thanks for all the band suggestions!
