  • It all depends on how heavy you are looking for :D I tend to enjoy a good mix of clean and scream mixed with a technical guitar part and possibly some odd rhythm feels. Everyone is different though.

    The various other genres:
-- Glassjaw (post hardcore?) Saw them live-- they are FANTASTIC. Check out "Mu Empire," "Tip Your Bartender."
-- System of A Down (hard rock, nu metal). They don't do a ton of screaming, but nevertheless, check out "Toxicity," "BYOB"
-- Tool (hard rock) Not a screamish band. Check out "Schism," "Lateralus," "46 & 2"
-- Slipknot (Nu metal). Check out "Psychosocial," "Before I Forget," "Killpop"

    Mu Empire by GlassJaw:

    We got your metalcore:
-- Bullet For My Valentine. Check out the album the Poison (every song is pretty epic on there imo) and also the song "Hand of Blood."
-- As I Lay Dying. Check out the songs "Parallel," "Through Struggle," "The Sound of Truth"
-- Avenged Sevenfold (the old stuff). Check out the songs "Critical Acclaim," "Second Heartbeat," "Unholy Confessions"

    Second Heartbeat by Avenged Sevenfold:

Hand of Blood by Bullet For My Valentine:

    We got your melodic deathmetal:
-- Children of Bodom. Check out "Are You Dead Yet," "In Your Face," "Needled 24/7"
-- Dark Tranquility. Check out "Lost to Apathy," "Misery's Crown"

Are You Dead Yet by Children of Bodom:

    We got your Progressive djent:
--Animals As Leaders. Note they are an instrumental band. My favorite song by them is "On Impulse" but pretty much all their songs are works of art lol
--Periphery. This is my current favorite band. Check out "Scarlet," "All New Material," "Alpha," "The Gods Must Be Crazy!," "Luck As A Constant"

    On a side note:
--Meshuggah. I personally do not like their music, but if you are just looking for something just really really heavy, check out the song "Bleed"

As for other genres of metal, including (but not limited to) Viking Metal, Death Metal, Classic Metal, Neoclassical Metal, and such... @Mustachekitteh and @Klara-Hitler would know more than I.

    Alright, that's all I got.
    Time for Death Metal Batman.

  • Cradle of Filth. Any song.
Korn. Hmm... most of the songs I like off of 'em are creepy sounding instead of full head banging. Try out "Shoots and Ladders" that's a cute song :P
Linkin Park. The band has its screaming moments. Faint, Hit the floor, Forgotten, One step closer, By myself

    Hope like zee suggestions! :)

  • I like some hard metal. Try Otep Shamaya, The Agonist, Arch Enemy, SOAD or Job for a Cowboy. It shocks most people that I listen to that stuff but I love something in basically every genre
