  • The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien. The book has a story-telling style, and centers around O'Brien's experiences in the Vietnam War.

  • The Stormlord Trilogy by Glenda Larke. The first book is called The Last Stormlord. Two is Stormlord Rising and three is Stormlord's Exile.

If you're into fantasy anyways. It's really really good!

If you're not into fantasy, I'd recommend Salem Falls by Jodi Picoult, Sarah's Key by Tatiana Rosnay, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, anything by John Grisham..

I'm pretty young but I really enjoyed it, I am a fan of horror and suspense so this certainly fulfilled it.
