I think that my favorite movie genre is Fantasy, Medieval/Renaissance Fantasy to be more specific. I see no much point in seeing horror without Action, I am not a fan of useless survivors, and it's hard to scare me anyway, Action Horror is nice, like many of the zombie movies, but between Horror and Action, I prefer Action, because a prefer to see survivors who at least trying to fight back, but I am a man, so it's to be expected. :)
I like thrillers! I don't like gore so I can't do most horror movies, and I'm bored to tears by action movies. Rom-coms are good to have on in the background as most are so predictable that you don't need to pay much attention. Romances tend to be... Drippy.
I enjoy the hero's journey, but not like Superman.
One of my favorite movies is The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, which is a Western movie about a man who is somewhat of a pushover that is forced to toughen up when the town bully threatens to kill him. In the end he becomes a better man, one that isn't afraid to stand up for himself.
Something that shows courage and bravery, but is also relatable. What good is a superhero that shows courage, they have special powers, I don't.
My favorites in order are horror (I love psychological thrillers, vampires, werewolves and witches, and hauntings), action/adventure, and kids movies (huge Pixar fan). I occasionally like comedies, but I generally just like a mix of humor in the rest of my genres.
