Valentine's day, better for friends or partners?

I love Valentine's day, it's a day of love and passion. Everyone is happy and smiling. That is, on the outside.

In reality it's stressful. For couples it's like: "Oh my gosh. What do I get them?" "Do I go all out?" "Is less more?" "Will tulips be good or do I really have to spend $25 on a couple roses?" So many questions and so many options. You want to make it perfect for your partner. You don't want to screw up or go overboard. Its like a little hell you put yourself in. Crazy and bonkers. Way too much stress with it!

With single people it's a little better. You get a few single friends go out to eat exchange little gifts. Then you might go home cuddle up with hot chocolate, then watch rom-com's all night vowing next year will be the year for you.

Now, I personally have thought about this over and over again. Do I want to go all out for that special someone? Do I want to Spend an arm and a leg on them? Do I want to battle for the crazy people for the perfect flowers? Or do I want to go out with my friends and eat lunch, then party till the sun comes up? My conclusion was to ask one of my best friends to be my Valentine and suffer through the stress together. She agreed and we will go out to a restaurant and eat lunch, then surprise each other with over the top gifts and expensive roses. After we will watch all of the rom-com's we can. Together. She is my best friend. My Valentine. I wouldn't want it any

other way.
