How does your boyfriend react when you talk to other guys?

kay so my boyfriend and I've been dating for about 10 months..we used to argue a lot and even took a break, but then we got back together. in either august or september, one of my really good guy friends John started texting me because I haven't talked to him in a long time. Usually my boyfriend takes my phone just to play around, but he then noticed that John was texting me and he asked me about him and I just said he was one of my good friends from a while ago.He didn't know him, but I mean I thought he wouldn't care at first but he did and he used to always read my text messages and I'd get fed up about it. He was probably thinking that I was cheating on him, but he knows I'd love him to death and I'd never do that. So we got into a big argument and all that just because I texted one of my good friends from a while ago. Girls I need to know, does your boyfriend get extremely p*ssed when you talk to other guys that are your friends?

I've hung out with the football players before I was even in high school because my brother used to always have them over, and that's continued to now, where most of the guys are my good friends. Since my boyfriend plays football, we have many mutual friends. When he sees me talking to one of them it's fine, because I know my boundaries and have respect towards my boyfriend, enough to not (want) or think about getting flirtatious with the guyy. If he knows of the guy as being a perv around school or he just doesn't like him, then he'll tell me, and sometimes he'll talk to the guy, haha. If it's a guy who is disrespecting me (your so sexy, hot, etc.) then he takes it up with the guy. ;)

Okay well if it is just texting and like catching up the he won't get mad but if were filrting and stuff the he would it all depends on how you talk to the guy and make sure you know what his idea of flirting because you could be giving your friend a compliment but your boyfriend can think that you are flirting so yea its just what you say.

See, but the thing is is that he thinks I flirt with them and I don't. one day I mean my guy friend was telling me some deep stuff and he wanted me to keep it to myself and the messages were in my phone and I didn't want him to look at them and he got really p*ssed off about that. I told him how he wanted me to keep it to myself and not let anyone know but my boyfriend didn't listen and still thought I was flirting or something. I don't know...i mean it p*sses me off sometimes the way he acts.
