Guys, why are some brothers/cousins so over protective?

Literally every boyfriend I've had gets intimidated by my brothers/cousins, I have two brothers one is 2 years older the other is 2 years younger and I'd say we're really close and I guess protective ofeachother I also have two cousins (they live with us) one is 3 years older and the other is my age. I guess you could say my older bro and older cousin have like a "reputation" in my neighborhood (not exactly a good one) so is that the reason why most of my boyfriends get scared?

They know how guys think and possibly think you are dumb enough to fall for the first line that a guy say. If your boys are dogs, then they see you as the type of girls they would consider easy.

It's good that you have those guys to look out for you and protect you. Your boyfriends should respect that, but only be afraid if they have reason to be.

Boys are supposed to do that kind of thing but I have no sisters and my cousins live in another town so I never experience doing it.
