Or would u just tell you're sister that she's ugly and make her cry? I believe not so you're doing a great job as a older brother. Just don't think it as a wrong thing and you'll be fine
It's not odd at all. I don't think the word beautiful should only be reserved for a partner. I call my parents, my sister and even my female friends beautiful all the time.
