How to get a clingy roommate to back off a little?

I understand we live in the same apartment but she always wants to hang out to the point where she gets mad if I have unavoidable plans such as classes or my job. I want to hang out but not all the time. And sometimes I just want space or I want to hang out with other friends without her. She also always assumes she's invited everywhere because she lives with me. She also is always trying to hug me and the other day she started leaning on me and I told her to stop and she said that she wanted to cuddle. I don't cuddle with anyone unless it's a guy I like (as more than friends obviously) and I def don't wanna be around her twenty four seven.

Only way to go about it is directly, tell her in no uncertain terms what you just posted, you like her and enjoy her company (if you do) but need some degree of privacy and space, accept that or sod off. She'll either get the message which is obviously a win, or get pissy which tells me she was likely going to be a nightmare however long you live with her, so either problem solved or same problem, what have you got to lose?

Has she ever expressed being Bi or Lesbian? She may not have realized it herself yet. She's exhibiting all the classic signs of romantic infatuation, and you're even "playing house" together. How did the two of you become roommates?

Random selection for student housing. We have two more roommates too since it's a suite. But I'm definitely not interested in her like that. I like guys and I have a huge crush on a guy right now.

That's how you tell her. Something along the lines of "I'm not trying to be mean, but we're not friends, we're roommates. This is not by my choice, the school put us here together like this, and I need you to respect my boundaries because you make me very uncomfortable."

Also I hope she doesn't know about your crush because she may try to sabotage that... She may try and steal him to keep him from taking all your time from her, or she may try to turn him off from you. Even if I'm wrong about her having feelings for you, she's obcessing about you in a very unhealthy way.

She doesn't know I like him. She knows we're pretty close though and she actually tries to make me dislike him. Every time she says something negative and I stick up for him she argues. And one time I fought with my crush and now she keeps saying me and him hate each other and that I shouldn't be his friend. She's always insisting she knows him better than I do and always tells people that me and him don't get along if someone is like "You're close with ____ right?" She tells me almost every day that I should shut him out of my life.

I started out friends with my roommate but now this is getting really screwed up.
