Yes and I'm glad that they did. When I was younger they could get me to obey by threatening me with it. Having raised animals you always have to find the thing that makes them listen until you do they will just do what they want and not care about the consequences.
Being freinds with several parents the ones that do spank have kids that obey most of the time. The ones that don't well they just drag their kids home early screaming. Then you have to wonder would it really be suck a bad thing to hear the kid screaming for 3 minutes till they get swatted or for the 10 that it takes to drag them out the door and into the car.

Very rarely. I don't think it's a good idea. It seems very weird to spank a teen. It makes much more sense to let children deal with either the natural or logical consequences of their actions.
