My ex boyfriend is confusing me. We broke up for a few reasons, but it wasn't a bad break up. One of the reasons was that he fears commitment...even though he always talked about having a future with me. I still love him, and I'm almost certain he still feels the same way about me. The thing is, we broke up a month and a half ago, and he is starting to act like we're still together in the way of how much he contacts me. We didn't talk for a while, but now that we are he's back to the way he was when our relationship was great. He tells me he misses me all the time, and he's been asking me to hang out a bunch. I haven't seen him in person yet, though. Today, he was having a rough day, and I made him laugh a lot and was able to put him in a great mood. He said, "This is what I'm missing in my life." He also told me he couldn't even remember why he had been upset in the first place and that I made his day. I was glad that I made his day better, but I don't just want to be his buddy. What do I do? Why is he acting like we're still together in some ways?

I guess I should add that he contacts first every time, and he's always the one who wants to meet up. I'm not sure if that makes any difference or not, but there it is.
he probably wants to get back together with you. next time he asks you to hang out, if you think you want him back, then do it. then, take it from there.
