My mom calls me a pig but complains about me eating healthy?

My mom will always buy unhealthy crap like brownies, cookies, cake, Ice cream or chips mainly for herself and my stepdad. She'll freaking call me a pig or make comments about me eating them or call me a pig if I eat 'too much'(meaning more than I eat now) but she complains about how expensive it is to buy my healthy crap.

Before prom she told me to lose weight so I could fit into my dress better so I went on a slim fast diet and made sure to not eat about about 800 calories a day. She complained about having to buy me the slim fast drinks when I only drank one a day as part of my breakfast along with a rice cake. Then for dinner I'd eat a lean cuisine TV dinner. I've been eating unhealthy since prom but I'm gonna go back on the diet. It's cheap and simple. My overall goal is to be at 100 lbs by the end of summer or for senior photos for sorority recruitment.

I don't get her or understand her.

Stand up for yourself. You don't need to be her punching bag. There's a place for all people in this world - regardless of what our ancestors have left us to wade through (in terms of the crap, aka prejudice, that they have left behind). My advice is to live how you'd like to live and be happy doing so. If she's constantly stressed with financially supporting your desire for a healthy-alternative to lean cuisines --> Then I would contemplate picking up a(n extra) job, by doing so you'll increase your physical activity which will directly increase your metabolism, resulting in the ability to burn more calories per day. Which means that you'll be able to restore your 1200/cal per day (recommended calories/day) and still lose the weight you'd like to lose.

As a recommendation - try to break down your "100 lbs by the end of summer" goal into smaller steps without a distinct time frame. By focusing strictly on a "goal", there is a sense of prevalent failure that if you do not meet the said goal, that you could relapse into old habbits. Similarly, time produces another problematic scenario in a similar manor. By splitting up this goal into stepping stones (e.g. "I'm going to lose 10 lbs") it will further reward you and increase your motivation / quality of life for your next accomplishment of any type; which you could directly use for more weight loss or for other avenues in life, at your discretion.

My mom makes comments about MY weight. I've been the thinnest member of the family all along. I have some paunch that I want to get rid of on my own, but outside of that, I don't do to badly.

I've heard this from a lot of guy friends; that their moms are making weight remarks; I've seen several wives do it (especially when they're husbands are really really thin AND they usually eat pretty well).

It DOES seem a bit weird how comparably expensive it is to eat healthy compared to eating junk. I'm not going to get into the conspiracy stuff, but... it's a problem. That part is right. However, if she sees that you're attempting to eat healthier, she should not be blaming you for it.

Have you tried talking to your mom about it? You know... saying that you're trying to eat healthier because she complains about the weight, but then she complains about the expense of you trying to be healthier... so you can either eat healthier which is better for everyone, and have a little extra cost, or you can eat the unhealthy cheap stuff and tell her to avoid making comments if it's not getting out of hand.

As far as diet goes, don't starve yourself; eat healthier, exercise when you can. Starving yourself, or trying to get only 800 hundred calories a day really seems unhealthy; Maybe you should talk to a doctor, if you can afford it.

Wow I was 100lbs and hated I like I'm 110 but I've been trying to gain weight and now my mom is mad she said she doesn't wana buy new clothes..I have a lot of clothes that have fitted for years but I don't think I should be the same size forever..My teenage years are nearing an end and real woman don't have a teen body my mom should understand she's not the same skinny girl she use to be...sorry if its a rant I think you should be in control not let anyone tell you you're too fat or skinny.

Don't let your mom get in the way of your goals. Let her say whatever she wants but you keep doing what works best for you. You really should just work out since eating less is only training your body to retain fat. You can eat normal, work out, burn those calories, and you'll be better off.

First off if I remember correctly you are Latino? If you are not I misremembered somewhere along the line and I'm sorry. But with that alone you are gonna get made fun of. You are always gonna be too fat and then when you try to do something about it you are gonna tormented for dieting and not eating regular food. Happens to all of us Latinos lol
