Why would my ex block me, if we're not friends and I don't contact him at all?

I broke up with my boyfriend in August. He was sad that I left him, but he lied to me and I was very upset at this point.

We still bump into each other on campus. Next year we will be in the same class...

We have never been friends on Facebook, but we have up to 50 mutual friends. I did not contact him.

4 weeks ago wanted to talk to me and asked me a lot of things about male friends of mine - he was very jealous and aggressive towards me. He said a lot of mean things and tried to make me jealous with stories of other girls.

I was hurt because I still love him but I did not show it. I was pretty cool actually...

One week ago he blocked me on Facebook.

I never contacted him. My private settings don't allow him to see anything but my cover pic (which is always public). I never 'like' or 'post' anything on our mutual friends profiles because I didn't want him to see anything from me.

Today he stood close to me with some friend and talked very loudly about how drunk he was the day before, which girls he met and how much fun he had and stuff. AWKWARD >.<

I guess I'm just upset because I still love him and he obviously tries to move on...

did someone experience something similar? I have a really hard time moving on :(

Guys do that on purpose to hurt their ex...trust me, they want the girl to feel the same hurt feeling which they felt...I can tell you this because I had done this to a female friend..and I do feel about it in the sense that, it gives you nothing more than a hollow ego boost, it's more about that 'my ass is bigger than yours' kind of a thing...the guy wants you to feel like you're sh*t and that he doesn't regret breaking away from you though in reality he might still miss you but is a coward to not reveal it to you...It is time for you to move on dear, leave this behind..you deserve someone better...all the best... :-)

So now he's blocked you from Facebook, where he's obviusly very active.

He is still in love with you, so he tries to find out what's going on with you, but he doesn't want you to know what HE is doing except when he tries to make you jealous. He does't want you to know what he is REALLy up to.

He sound kind of obsessed with you,and not in a good way, right? This behavior should encourage you to move on! He's clearly got some problems adjusting to real life..

that's what made me feel confused. I thought he would rather change some of his setting to public too make me more jealous than to block me.

if he wants to make me jealous and talks loud about what he's being up to lately when I'm around/close... that is the opposite... I try not to think too much about it. I guess that's best. thanks for your advice. :)

we have 50 mututal friends. Someone uploaded a picture with him on it and his name was tagged, but the name was not linked to his profile (if that makes sense). That's when I checked out his profile, but it wasn't there anymore. My friend can still see him though.

I know its over and it should not bother me. But I do feel hurt.

That's why he blocked you. Because you noticed. If you were really over him or letting him go, you'd never have noticed. Plus, he probably doesn't want to see you around, etc. It calls up old feelings.
