In the friend zone: Do I ignore her texts or text her back?

I'm working on changing my nice guy habits don't get me wrong, but yet I got friend zoned again and I have zero desire to be friends with this girl in school. I rather either be her boyfriend or nothing at all.

However she's been texting me a lot lately, should I even reply back? Or just reply but with something short?

To clarify she does know I'm interested, but she said the age old "let's just be friends"... but she LOVES talking to me so I have a feeling it's either a physical attraction problem, or she might be involved with someone else and not have told me.


That "lets just be friends" speech happened a couple months ago and up untill now I've been good friends with her... but now I can't stand it and want out =\

Does she at all know you are interested in more than just friends? If she just wants to be friends, then you are screwed. I would just start responding less to her texts until you aren't friends anymore.

Once in the friend zone, you can still continue the relationship though. If she might be interested in you too, I would slowly start to amp up the physical contact and activities like dinner, movie together... things that you will be able to get a good handle on if she would like to more than friends too.

Yes she does know I like her but she just wants to be friends cause she's "Seeing another guy for 5 months now", she talks to me a lot though and texts me alot...

I wouldn't if you want more than friends. It will be tough for you every time you see/hear about her and her boyfriend.

Unless you don't mind that, I would probably not be close friends.

She actually never brings him up, infact I heard from a mutual buddy they're still not official because "hes putting it off and acting weird to her". Should I still continue to text her everyday and be her buddy? or back off? or firmly tell her again what I want? (That I want to be her boyfriend, not her gay buddy)

If you text back tell her that right now you are in search of a relationship nor a friendship. Short answer and question at the same time. She should get it and if not then tell her: I want a girlfriend not a friend. If she is up to the challenge then she will tell you to go out with her if not oh well she wasn't the one.

Don't ignore her texts, because then you'll be the jerk. Tell her how you feel; just say "I can't be friends with you." It'll give her closure.

Be direct and don't be a douche. If you want her sexually only tell her, she might not like it but it'll cease your suffering a lot faster and you won't lead her on.
