Do guys tell their friends about the girls they like?

This guy has had a crush on my for over half a year and I like him too - we finally talked recently as previously we were pretty much strangers!

We're both 18 year old high school seniors.

Anyway, I noticed my crush one time brought a group of his friends to 'check me out' as if he wanted to let them to check whether I was doable etc, and one time I was walking behind him and he was like to his buddy "thats the chick!", and another time I was near them and his friends were teasing him and going like "hey look there's your girl!" -- and this was all before we even had a conversation together so it was pretty awkward

so I'm pretty sure guys do tell heir friends about the girls they like - but why did this guy tell everyone! Like, I swear about 10+ different guys knew of me and I feel kind of embarrassed.

do you think they're judging me? what if his friends don't think I'm attractive - would he still pursue me? AND what exactly do guys talk about? do they only talk about things like 'oh yeah I really want to do her'? would they say good things about the girl to his friends?

Guys talk about girls just as girls talk about guys. Some guys talk about girls they want to do. Some simply say they’re interested or ask about their friends about a girl. Naturally, word spreads. Isn’t the situation similar among girls? The main difference is that girls are not likely to make rude comments in the presence of the person of interest!

Why do you think that he brought his friends to check you out? Maybe their presence there was a coincidence. Maybe his friends initiated all this and dragged him along.

The comments they made suggest that he’s interested in you. If he had said wanted to do you, I don’t think they would have said those comments. I can’t say if they were judging you or not. They commented on his interest not on how you look. It’s hard not to feel judged under those circumstances!

Remember that while you were humiliated by all this, he was too. They betrayed his trust. If he was struggling to think of a way to approach you, that made it even harder.

If you feel you need to take some sort of action, you could remark to him how awkward it was to have others talking about the two of you. That makes it a shared experience and takes the focus off of either of you.

I don't know about 'doable'. But I certainly think they tell their friends about their crush/girl. This is in context of: "she is my girl dudes, which means if any of you likes her then tell me now. Otherwise stay away from her".

However at least I don't tell every jerk out there.

usually a guy will tell his friends who he likes but it depends on the circumstances
